First Steps…
Ratio: The Simple Codes Behind the Craft of Everyday Cooking
As i mentioned in my previous post, i have started to dwell deeper in the arts, namely culinary arts, due to my frustration at being unable to whip up cakes and desserts like how i envision them to be. As such i have started from the very basics and that is the fundamental ratios necessary to construct a the various products.
And the above book, contains the very essence of what i was looking for!
Though it doesnt really explain the science behind the different ingredients, it helps to remove the leash of one’s anxious need to refer to a fixed and particular recipe. it gives you an opportunity to play around with your flavours and ingredients to create something new. its pretty interesting in that once the basic and standard ratios have been set, you can pretty much add or remove the create something of your liking.
So if you do have any interest to pursue the Arts, namely culinary arts, it would serve as a meaningful first step into the complex and yet simple world of whipping up masterful creations. Dont expect too much, because thats not what its meant to be, its true purpose is to help you ease the daunting task of trying your hands at something so awesome!

Revamp!
It’s been a while since i last updated this tumblr of mine! And I actually had the idea of deleting this tumblr altogether, but i figured recently that this could serve a bigger purpose for my growth and development in that i could document my happenings and reflections conveniently, and have myself be reminded of the culinary adventures that i have set my mind to embark on!
Much have happened since the last time i entered a personal post, and since ive decided to start on a fresh page with this post, then im going to share with whoever’s reading, a recent book authored by my friend daniel. it was labeled as a self-enrichment book by Kinokuniya when i bought it,and yes i know most people have this preconception and notion that these books are just out to play with your mind and pick a few notes from your pockets. well, im not going to comment too much, least someone says im advertising for him and trying to sell this book. so i will just say that you dont have to buy it. Because you can actually borrow it from the libraries near you and take a look at it and if you really find that it was helpful then it wont hurt having it under your possession for times of need. Basically one of the major takeaways from the read is to broaden one’s mind and open it up to the vast horizons of this boundless world. So just give it a try and if you dont like it, no hard feelings, and if you find it useful do recommend to those around you, cos you might just be able to help enlighten someone!
(so here’s a picture of the book just in case you guys need to have some visuals, yea the girls are gonna swoon over the handsome dude and the guys are gonna get jealous, well thats life hahaha)

On another note, I have recently bought a food processor and ice cream maker with my newly earned wealth from my temp job.
(here’s the ice cream maker in action)

I’m currently reading up on books to strengthen up my knowledge in the field of culinary creations. And in the process come up with my own recipes and share it my loved ones.
With that, this post that signals the start of a new chapter of my life comes to an end. how apt, an end of a chapter brings forth the beginning of a new chapter!
Here’s my new commitment and conviction, to love and live life, my way!whoohooo

I thought it would only be in the distant past that these tears of pain were shed for the same reason…
